The Thousand Islands Divers Alliance is non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the ecological health, history, and beauty of this unique island archipelago, and to promote sustainable diving practices.

To accomplish this, we enlist the assistance of volunteer citizen divers, local businesses and governments, and generous donors. Please read more about how you can help or get involved!

PRESERVE - PROTECT - EXPLORE
Our Initiatives
Diving With Purpose
Cleanup
Protecting Marine Life
We organize regular underwater debris removal events, engaging volunteers to improve the health of aquatic ecosystems and preserve marine habitats.
Surveys
Research for Evidence
Our environmental survey projects gather crucial data to assess ecosystem health and identify areas in need of restoration. This critical information informs our future initiatives.
Historic Shipwreck Preservation
Stewards of History
We monitor the condition of wrecks along the St. Lawrence, many of which date back to the 19th and even the 18th century. In conjunction with Project Baseline, we hope to expand this initiative in the future.
Training
Helping Researchers and Scientists
Though our members and local parters, we offer low-cost training for academic researchers and assistants to become divers themselves.
Promotion and Improvement
Helping Divers
We work with local businesses and officials to promote the world-class freshwater diving in the region and improve shore access for divers.
